Phoenix Coyote History
"The Phoenix Coyotes can trace their NHL roots back to 1971 when they were the Winnipeg Jets. After an acrimonious leave from Winnipeg, the Jets moved to Phoenix in 1996 when they became the Coyotes. The franchise has home some great players in its history including legendary Bobby Hull and more recently, Keith Tkachuk and Tony Amonte. Although the team has never won the Stanley Cup they are consistently competitive in the NHL."
